ABOUT MEAbout Me...hmmm. I think the most important thing people need to know about me is that I'm an Army brat, an Air Force spouse, and a mom to one son, Lance, who is everything to me. We are now retired from the Air Force and can proudly say my husband, JB, is a veteran. Wright Patterson AFB was our last base, and Dayton, OH is now our permanent home. We live in Beavercreek now and it feels, well, strange to be settling down for good! We love the area! Why do I tell you about my military association? Because that lifestyle shaped me into the person I am. We moved a ton of times(sometimes every 6 months), so I had to become brave, resourceful, independent, super open-minded, curious, and always look for the positive in situations. We were constantly meeting new teachers, doctors, hairstylists, and friends! Often times, during deployments, I was a single mom, or living in a place where I didn't know the language. Challenges accepted! Through it all, I've met people from all over the world with different cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles. The all amaze and fascinate me!! I love to hear their stories! I also loved taking their pictures. As a family, we were always taking photos of the places we lived and the people we met. That's what gave us our memories...our history! We look back on some of them to this day when we all get together. So, see, it's always been my life...photography! I took photography classes in high school, then studied journalism and business in college where I took a few more classes in it. Now, I keep learning on my own! I'm always at the next workshop, conference, or with another photographer talking shop! Now I am officially certified as a professional photographer through Professional Photographer's of America! I took art classes, too. I love art! Every time we moved or traveled I had to find the museums. I've been in some of the grandest in the world! In school I loved science, too, because I'm curious. I like to know how things are made or built. So, let's see, let's combine love of people, science, art, and travel in a bowl...blend really well. And we have photography!!! It's what I am, it's what makes me tick, it's what I love, and what I know. Believe me, I've had jobs at all levels to survive, to pay the bills, but nothing feeds my soul more than photography! I know in my heart I can capture your expressions, and tell your story in photographs, and do it well!
